A Carin is most commonly recognized as a landmark, trail marker or a memorial. Cairns have a Scottish Gaelic origin but were used in many European countries throughout history. They can be simple, as shown here, or extremely complex.
This particular Cairn was photographed along the coast of southern Maine.
The original print measures 13" X 13". As shown, the signed print is framed to 20" X 20" and includes a double mat which is silver over black colored. This is available simply as a print or framed as shown. Please contact me if you prefer an alternate size or have a framing/matting option in mind.
This black and white image is printed on a special metallic museum grade paper with quality inks that will last a lifetime. The use of semi-gloss metallic paper results in a bolder, more dynamic image with more depth and a shimmering luster finish making the image more life-like.
The image shown on this site is a lower resolution image, unable to show the detail, clarity and essence of the actual image. Details and sharpness of the actual image are significantly greater. Also note that monitors/screens vary in color reproduction resulting in a slight variation between the image seen here and the actual image itself.
The image will be wrapped and shipped in sturdy, protective packaging to avoid damage.
